MPs and MSPs will get a pay rise from today of over £2,000 - on the same day that the cost of living crisis will impact millions of households.
From April 1, members of the House of Commons will each have their salaries boosted by £2,212-a-year, which means they will see their pay packet rise to £84,144 from £81,932 reports the Daily Record.
While in the Scottish Parliament MSPs will see their pay rise to £66,662 from £64,470 - an increase of 3.4 per cent.
