An MP has opened up about how a stalker claimed to be having his baby and even came to his home with a suitcase hoping to run away with him. Sir Jake Berry, who was chairman of the Conservative Party until October, also touched on how both he and his wife had dealt with depression.
Sir Jake, who was also an aide to Boris Johnson, was elected in 2010 to the Rossendale and Darwen seat in Lancashire. He married his second wife, Alice, in May 2018, reports LancsLive.
In an interview with broadcaster Gloria De Piero, he spoke about the darker side of the job of being an MP. Sir Jake, who has three children with Alice, outlined his experience of being stalked.
