Labour MP for West Derby Ian Byrne has written to the FA urging a full apology and retraction from UEFA following events prior to and after the Champions League final between Liverpool and Real Madrid in May.
On Monday, the governing body published the findings of its independent report into the horrific scenes in Paris when Jurgen Klopp's side reached the showpiece final.
Thousands of fans including women, children and disabled supporters endured tear gas from riot police, were mugged by armed local youths and forced into crushes at the Stade de France and surrounding area. Those who found themselves in difficulty were later accused of possessing fake tickets - however, the report from UEFA has since vindicated Liverpool fans.

The Reds slammed the leaking of the report and Klopp has since welcomed the findings from the report. Byrne, who was at the match, has previously urged the French government to apologise and now, he has written to Mark Bullingham, CEO of the Football Association, demanding an apology from UEFA.
In a tweet, he said: "Today I have written to the CEO of the @FA urging them to call for a full apology & retraction from UEFA. I have also urged them to seek a commitment from UEFA that all panel recommendations will be implemented."
In his letter to the Chief Executive Officer, he points to the accusations made, claims which were backed by Sports Minister Amélie Oudéa-Castéra and French Interior Minister Gerald Darmanin, about "fake tickets and ticketless fans" likening it to the "identical lies" told by South Yorkshire Police in 1989.
Byrne adds "nothing short of a full public apology and retraction by UEFA, the French police, French football authorities and French government would suffice" following the accusations made laying blame on Liverpool fans, which have been dismissed by the independent report led by Dr. Brandão Rodrigues.
Also in the letter, the MP has urged the president of UEFA, Alexander Ceferin, to consider his position adding that President Emmanuel Macron has been written to.
