Moussa Dembele's Celtic transfer windfall last chance as Galatasaray 'target' out of contract Lyon star

Moussa Dembele is attracting interest from around Europe with Turkish giants Galatasaray weighing up a move for the former Celtic striker, according to reports.

Dembele is out of contract at Lyon in the summer and looks set for a move elsewhere after extension negotiations broke down. He would be free to talk to clubs in January over a potential pre-contract but Celtic will be hoping there's a winter window offer so the club can land a windfall as they have a 15 per cent signing clause included in the £19.7million deal that took the talisman to Ligue 1.

Turkish outlet TRT SPOR state the Frenchman is at the top of the Super Lig club's transfer wishlist, who require a long-term replacement for on-loan Mauro Icardi. The Argentina international is on loan at the club but the appear to be starting the search for successor up front already with the outlet stating there is a "high probability" of Dembele joining The Yellow and Reds.

Dembele has been acting as back-up for Alexandre Lacazette so far this season in Ligue 1 following his summer move to Arsenal, and the report suggest that could be a factor in a January move. However, the Turkish giants are reportedly willing to wait for a pre-contract agreement.

Fenerbahce have also been credited as admirers of Dembele alongside Rangers' contract rebel Alfredo Morelos. Lyon are now likely to accept a "cut-price" deal to recoup much of the money they paid out to Celtic for Dembele.

It remains to be seen if Dembele, still only 26, would be open to a move to the Turkish football - given he hammered in 22 goals last season despite a lacklustre league campaign and would still be considered a viable option by many top clubs in the 'big five' leagues.
