Initially spanning 250 acres in the morning, the fire rapidly grew to over 10,000 acres by late afternoon, as reported by fire officials. This equated to the destruction of approximately 18 football fields every minute over a span of seven hours.
The fire's swift expansion was so intense that it was visible from space. Satellite imagery captured the progression of the fire, showcasing its evolution from a few reddish-brown pixels denoting lower intensity flames to a vast cluster of red-orange pixels representing intense burning.
