Mouhamed Niang has been banned for his crunching tackle on Celtic midfielder Yosuke Ideguchi.
The midfielder is in the dock over the flashpoint that left the Japanese star writhing in agony and forced him to miss the midweek win over Hearts.
Niang was initially booked by man in the middle Don Robertson but it was later flagged by the compliance officer.
The original hearing date was Thursday but Niang's case was heard on Friday due to red tape.
The three-person SFA panel have now handed the 22-year-old an 2 game ban.
Wasps boss Barry Ferguson has previously stated that the League One side would appeal and punishment handed to the Partick Thistle loanee.
Following the Scottish Cup clash, Ferguson explained: added: "I'm not saying he didn't connect with Guchi.
"He did, but if you watch it closely, he was focused on winning the ball.
"But unfortunately the follow through connected with his ankle."
