South Wales Police have arrested a drink drive suspect after the motorist collided with a zebra crossing and two parked cars on Colcot Road, Barry Island in the early hours of Saturday morning. (February 5)
Barry officers responded to the incident and carried out a roadside breathalyser test and found the motorist to be more than five times over the drink drive limit at 185ug. The legal limit is 35ug.
The motorist could be fined and faces a lengthy ban from driving if prosecuted.
South Wales Police Road Policing Unit tweeted: "RTC - Colcot Road, Barry. A car collided with a zebra crossing pole and two parked cars. Roadside breath test carried out, the result: 185ug. Legal limit: 35ug. Driver arrested by Barry Officers@SWPCardiff #Fatal5."
