A motorcyclist was in a "serious" crash on the M4 yesterday which resulted in the closure of a key slip road.
The incident happened at around 2pm yesterday (Friday, February 11) on the eastbound carriageway at junction 22 of the M4 motorway, which leads to the M49.
At the time, traffic monitoring service Inrix said: "The M4 Eastbound entry slip road closed due to serious accident, a car involved at J22 M49. Traffic is coping well. Ongoing since 14:15. Camera images show traffic is flowing freely on the Prince of Wales Bridge just prior to the affected slip road."
National Highways confirmed that emergency services attended the crash scene, Gloucestershire Live reports.
They said: "The only incident we have at around this time/location is an incident involving a motorcycle and no other vehicles.
"One lane was closed initially, and both lanes briefly while emergency services attended. Motorcycle is being recovered from scene and both lanes will be open again shortly."
