A motorcyclist has died following a crash on a major road into Edinburgh prompting police to appeal for information.
The 40-year-old of a black Suzuki GSF 650 motorbike was pronounced dead at the scene following a collision with a white Kia Sportage car on the A702 at Boghall, near Penicuik, Midlothian on Thursday.
Emergency services rushed to the scene when they were alerted to the incident at around 1.25pm, January 12.
