Motorbike rider, 21, killed in crash near Heinz factory

A man was killed in a crash near the Heinz factory in Wigan after he came off his motorbike.

The 21-year-old rider died after incident on Spring Road at around 2.45pm on Wednesday. Emergency services raced to save his life but he died at the scene.

In a statement on Wednesday evening, Greater Manchester Police said the rider of the blue Yamaha bike was the only person involved in the crash. His family are being supported by specially trained officers.
