Motherwell to play in NL Cup as Airdrie look to retain pre-season trophy

Motherwell Airdrie Airdrieonians Albion Rovers Colts Lowland League

Motherwell have been announced in this year's line-up for the North Lanarkshire Cup, hosted by Lowland League side Cumbernauld Colts.

The Steelmen are set to send a side to compete in the two-day pre-season tournament at Broadwood over July 1 and 2, which will also feature Colts, Lowland League side Albion Rovers and current holders Airdrieonians.

Airdrie won the trophy last summer with a 1-0 winner over Cumbernauld, courtesy of a Calum Gallagher strike.
