Sondre Solholm could hardly believe it when Ricki Lamie headed the ball into the net - and the Motherwell defender says it's a moment he'll never forget.
The Steelmen secured a top six Premiership position in the most dramatic of circumstances during a 2-2 draw with Livingston at the Tony Macaroni Arena.
On a Saturday where seven teams could still mathematically finish in the top half, earning a shot at European football, Graham Alexander's men looked likely to rely on favours from elsewhere.
Odin Bailey and Alan Forrest goals had put Livi 2-0 up but Callum Slattery pulled one back for the away side. They were outside the top six in the 93rd minute, before Lamie headed home to spark bedlam among away fans.
It put the Fir Park club into the top six and with all but sixth place potentially becoming European placement, the stakes are now even higher for Motherwell.
Solholm says celebrations after his defensive teammate's memorable goal showed what it meant, and it'll stay with him for a long time.
The 26-year-old said: "It was an unreal feeling. When big Ricki Lamie put that in, it became one of those moments that when you look back on it after you retire, you're never going to experience that feeling, no matter what you do.
"I know I am probably exaggerating a bit but that is the way it feels for me right now.
"I just had to close my eyes for a bit when I got into the dressing room at the end of the game, just to process it all.
"But I still don't think I have landed yet! The scenes after the goal kind of said it all."
A run of one win in 13 league games is hardly European form, but Solholm says the tough times Motherwell have gone through were made worth it with Lamie's strike.
The defender added: "All the stupid goals we have conceded and the games we should have won, but lost, all the 500 metres the gaffer has put us through, it's all worth it now as we have got top six.
"We can now look forward to some great games against some great teams and potentially fight for a place in Europe as well."
