Motherwell star offers apology after Scottish Cup red card leaves him 'devastated' as boss ponder 'potential penalty'

Scottish Cup Well Hibs Graham Alexander Steelmen

Motherwell manager Graham Alexander says Bevis Mugabi has held his hands up after a red card in the first minute of their Scottish Cup defeat to Hibs.

The Ugandan international went full-blooded into a challenge with Hibs' Josh Doig inside 60 second and referee Willie Collum didn't hesitate to show the red card.

Elias Melkersen scored twice before half-time and Joe Efford's second Motherwell goal couldn't prevent a 2-1 defeat for the Steelmen in quarter-final action.
