Motherwell learn their Premier Sports Cup last-16 opponents

Motherwell will host Inverness Caledonian Thistle in the Premier Sports Cup last 16.

The draw, which was made this afternoon following Aberdeen's 3-0 win over Raith Rovers, has the Championship side visiting Fir Park.

Graham Alexander's side avoided the competition's group stages this season due to their Europa Conference League second qualifying round tie, in which they are currently 1-0 down to Sligo Rovers, going into the second leg in Northern Ireland on Thursday evening.

The Premier Sports Cup tie is due to take place on August 30/31.

Hamilton Accies exited the competition yesterday after being held to a 1-1 draw at home to Queen's Park, though John Rankin's side won the shoot-out, while Airdrie lost 3-0 at Arbroath and Clyde crashed out with a 1-0 defeat at Falkirk.
