Motherwell kid handed Scotland Euro Elite Round cap call

Motherwell teenager Max Johnston has been called up to Scotland's under-19 squad for their UEFA Euro Elite Round matches this month.

Defender Johnston, who is currently on loan at Championship side Queen of the South, will join Billy Stark's side for the tournament matches.

Johnston has played regularly while on loan at Queen of the South (SNS Group)

Scotland travel to Hungary to play Group One fixtures against Turkey on Wednesday, March 23, Hungary on Saturday, March 26, and Israel on Tuesday March 29.

The 18-year-old plays regularly with the Dumfries side, and has scored twice for Queen of the South this season.
