Motherwell are hoping their Europa Conference League clashes can be switched as bosses urge fans to hold back on their travel plans.
Graham Alexander's side will face either Bala Town or Sligo Rovers in the second qualifying round of the competition next season.
The first leg is scheduled to go ahead on Thursday, 21 July with the away leg pencilled in for Thursday, 28 July.
But club are looking to delay the home fixture in a bid to give their new pitch an extra week to grow.
Motherwell chief executive, Alan Burrows, confirmed on social media that the North Lanarkshire side have submitted a request to UEFA and both clubs to have the dates switched.
And the CEO has urged Motherwell supporters to hold off booking their trips until the club is provided with an answer either way.
Posting on Twitter, Burrows said: "Exciting draw and great to be back in European football. If fans could hold off booking any travel arrangements (if you haven’t already).
"In order to give our new pitch an additional week’s growth, we have made a request to UEFA and both clubs about switching the dates.
"There isn’t confirmation of that as yet (it might not even be possible), and the dates as listed by UEFA might still stand, but we hope to have it firmed up asap."
Motherwell are set to go on another European adventure in the 2022/23 campaign after a year out.
Graham Alexander's side clinched fifth position in the Scottish Premiership this season, securing their entry to the Europa Conference League second qualifying round.
