Motherwell 'agree terms' with Japanese star

Motherwell are believed to have agreed a deal to sign Japanese attacking midfielder Riku Danzaki.

The Daily Record reports that the Fir Park club have started the work permit process for the 22-year-old.

They also say that Motherwell have agreed a deal for the player to be released from his contract commitments at both Consadole Sapporo and his loan at Australian club Brisbane Roar.

Motherwell boss Steven Hammell has brought in Shane Blaney, Mikael Mandron and Ollie Crankshaw during this window, and are in talks with defender Matt Penney to see if they can extend his loan deal from Ipswich Town.
