Mothership that dropped sub with five men into fatal dive returns to shore

The main support ship, which dropped the Titan sub into a dive leading to the deaths of five men, has returned to shore. The Polar Prince returned to St John's Harbour in Newfoundland on Saturday, June 24.

This was one of several ships that returned to the harbour, after the Canadian Coast Guard (CCG) confirmed two other vessels were en route last night with a large crowd gathering at the port. The submersible had five men aboard, including British adventurer Hamish Harding and father and son Shahzada and Suleman Dawood.

They were alongside the chief executive of the company responsible for the vessel, Stockton Rush, and French national Paul-Henri Nargeolet. Sadly the five men have been pronounced dead after a catastrophic implosion reports The Daily Mirror.
