Mother of Daunte Wright’s son files lawsuit against family over $1m GoFundMe

The mother of Daunte Wright’s son has filed a lawsuit against the family and lawyer Ben Crump over a $1m GoFundMe fundraiser.

Chyna Whitaker is the mother of a child fathered by Mr Wright, a 20-year-old Black man who was killed by police in Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, north of Minneapolis on 11 April 2021.
