The Emerald Coast Utilities Authority (ECUA) lifted its precautionary boil water notice Tuesday morning, Oct. 13, for most of mainland Escambia County, including Perdido Key, WEAR-TV reported. Most households in the Pensacola area can again use tap water for drinking and cooking without boiling it first.
The notice remains in effect for Pensacola Beach and for customers at certain addresses on about 20 mainland streets. ECUA is expected to lift the Pensacola Beach notice on Wednesday if water quality tests meet state standards, FOX10 reported.
