A new interactive map has shown the most deprived areas of Nottinghamshire, with the data showing how fortunes contrast wildly in different areas. The Office of National Statistics (ONS) has produced an interactive map exhibiting which communities have the highest rate of households affected by deprivation.
The north of Nottinghamshire, particularly areas in Mansfield and Bassetlaw, have some of the highest rates of deprivation per household in the county. More than 35% of homes in Mansfield town centre are deprived, the data shows.
Yet, Clifton West is the area in Nottinghamshire that has the highest rate of deprivation per household, with 38.3%. Contrastingly, areas to the south of Nottingham, such as Edwalton and Gamston, have less than 30% of deprivation per household.

The ONS-provided map gives you the option to select if you want to see households "not deprived in any dimension" or "deprived in one dimension". When looking at households deprived in one dimension, the darker shaded areas are the highest areas of deprived households.
With the cost of living crisis continuing to have an impact, many households are having to cut back their spending as bills take their financial toll. An area's quality of education, employment, health and housing is used to determine if it's deprived. Some areas may be affected by just one factor, but other areas will be affected by a combination.

The Dales & South Skegby - 36.1%
