Moscow Wildberries factory up in flames as Ukraine launches huge drone attack

Video shows thick plumes of smoke rising from a burning Wildberries warehouse in Moscow, after Ukraine launched hundreds of drones against Russia overnight.

Russia’s Ministry of Defence said that it had destroyed 822 Ukrainian drones overnight, with some 600 drones detected headed toward the Russian capital on Sunday (16 August).

Mayor Sergei Sobyanin described it as “one of the most massive attacks in recent memory”. He said an 83-year-old man had been killed in the attack.

Footage shows smoke billowing over the site of the Koledino warehouse of Russia's largest online retailer Wildberries, which Ukraine has accused of handling military goods.

Kyiv has not commented on the attack.
