Two of Liverpool’s biggest sports stars are set to win big at the 2022 Ethnicity Awards.

Mohamed Salah and Natasha Jonas have made the shortlist for the awards - which recognises individuals with a track record of working to advance equality and opportunity for Black, Asians, and minorities ethnic groups in society.

Liverpool FC ’s forward, Mohamed Salah, has been singled out for his high-profile stance on racial, gender and faith equality. While Salah is one of the most prolific forwards in European football and a Champions League and Premier League winner with Liverpool, away from his football exploits, the Egyptian has become a leading figure for Muslim people around the world advocating for women’s equality in the Middle East, while displaying his faith prominently on the world stage.
