Hamilton boss John Rankin hopes his side maintain their top form on Tuesdays when they face Morton tonight in a crunch clash for their Championship survival hopes.
The New Douglas Park side have won all seven of their matches played on Tuesdays this season and they will be determined to make it eight when they travel to Cappielow for their game in hand over bottom side Cove Rangers.
Accies can move five points clear of thier rivals and move level on points with eighth place Arbroath if they keep up their success rate.
And at his pre-match press conference, Rankin said: “I’m aware that we’ve won all our games on a Tuesday, I was aware of that last week before anyone else was.
“So it’s just a case of can we continue that run, can we keep up that momentum.
“Ideally, I’d love it to be Saturdays as we’ve more games on a Saturday but at this stage of the season you’ll take win no matter what day they come on.
“It’s a case of we need to be at our best on Tuesday. We went to Morton earlier in the season and it was a poor performance and it has to be better this time.
“We’ve just got to continue that stat of winning on a Tuesday, can we keep going and go and get another three points.
“It’s a good stat, Tuesday’s are important for us but every day is important and every game is more important than the last and we’re looking to build momentum."
Accies go into the game having drawn 1-1 with Cove on Saturday and beaten Raith Rovers 2-1 last Tuesday night, which saw the side bounce back from a humiliating 7-0 thrashing at Dundee on April 1.
Rankin added: "“If you’d said to us after the 7-0 defeat we’d have got the reaction we had I’d have been delighted but now I’m greedy and I want more and the players do as well.”
