Morrisons is recalling two of its popular fruit products over concerns that they could contain traces of salmonella.
The supermarket has warned shoppers who have recently purchased the Morrisons Mango and Morrisons Mango Fingers fruit pots to return them to the nearest store. Notices will be displayed at the checkouts in-store warning customers about the products , and anyone who returns the affected mango items will receive a full refund - you don’t need a receipt.
The recall is a precautionary measure by Morrisons to stop customers from falling ill amid fears that the fruit could be contaminated. Symptoms of salmonella include fever, diarrhoea, abdominal cramps, chills, headache, nausea and vomiting, The Mirror reports .

If you have recently purchased mango products from Morrisons, check the name and size of the pack as well as the use by date. The products being recalled are the Morrisons Mango 240g pack with a use by date of 23 August, and the Morrisons Mango Fingers 410g with a use by date of 22 August.
A notice from the Food Standards Agency advised: “If you have bought any of the above products do not eat it. Instead, return it to the nearest Morrisons store for a full refund.”
