With Queen Elizabeth II's Platinum Jubilee coming up, there's no doubt that many fans of the royal family will want to celebrate the monarch's 70 years in power in style. And while many will have headed to the checkouts to pick up Union Jack banners, bunting and flags well in advance - Morrisons have recently released a new product which is highly-sought after by those looking to do things a little differently.
Enter Clarence the Corgi - a brand new cake from the leading supermarket which pays tribute to Elizabeth II's top choice of dogs. The Queen's love of the breed is said to have stemmed from her childhood, with her father King George VI gifting her one of her own named Dookie in 1933.
Since then, she is believed to have owned in excess of 30 corgis throughout her tenure on the throne - all having interesting and exciting names like Monty and Linnet. At the time of writing, the Queen currently also has a pure-bred corgi known as Muick.

And it's the love of the breed which has inspired Morrisons to release their new and exciting Jubilee sweet treat named Clarence. A chocolate swiss roll covered in patriotic blue and white sprinkles, with a completely edible face and paws and fitting Union Jack crown.
At £6, the cake is said to serve 12 people, making it the ideal treat to serve up at your up and coming Jubilee party. Speaking on the limited edition item, Rachel Fish, Cake Creator at Morrisons, said: "We've created this special cake to pay tribute to the Queen, as the country celebrates her Platinum Jubilee this summer. We had great fun coming up with names for the cake but think Clarence, as chosen by our customers, is a fitting tribute."
And people have wasted no time in taking to social media to share their thoughts of amazement on the treat itself, with many determined to get their hands on one ahead of the up and coming celebrations next month.
Alison Mayes, said: "Clarence - it sounds the most regal." Meanwhile, Gill James, added: "Clarence, great name for a corgi, and to remind us of the Queen Mum who lived at Clarence House."
Sarra Coleman, wrote: "Is it really a Jubilee celebration if you don't have corgi cakes??" Sereena Ralph commented: "Definitely buying one of these cakes."
