Stunned shoppers have slammed Morrisons over its 'shockingly expensive' Halloween pumpkins. The supermarket is selling its 'giant' pumpkins for an eye-watering £8.99 - with some customers believing the price 'must be an error'.
Although branded as a larger, the pumpkins are not much bigger than those being sold by other retailers, with Sainsbury's 'monster' ones costing just £3 each. One disgruntled shopper shared a picture of the pricey pumpkins to a budget Facebook group, with many commenting their disbelief over the 'bonkers' cost.
According to Manchester Evening News, one person wrote: "Wow! They’re so cheap elsewhere so that’s got to be an error." Another said: "That's crazy they were no more than 3 quid last year for a massive one."
