Netflix has been filming a behind-the-scenes documentary at the World Cup that is set to star Morocco captain Romain Saiss.
The fly-on-the-wall football series is being produced by the makers of Sunderland 'Till I Die and is set to be released next year.
According to the Telegraph, ‘Captains’ will feature filming of captains including Saiss, Gareth Bale and Thiago Silva at the World Cup.
Access-all-areas filming of Saiss and Morocco on their amazing run to the last four in Qatar has given producers a gripping storyline.
Saiss is an injury doubt for Wednesday’s semi-final against France after went off on a stretcher against Portugal.
England captain Harry Kane will not feature in the documentary after he and Gareth Southgate rejected the idea of filming behind the scenes in the England camp.
Southgate said before the tournament: "It is not my cup of tea. I would be surprised if the group of players we have got would have an interest in that."
Kane added: "We don't want any distractions."
‘Captains’ is the latest in a growing trend of fly-on-the-wall sporting documentaries.
Manchester City, Tottenham and Arsenal have starred in Amazon's All or Nothing series, Netflix cameras followed Sunderland and Disney+ recently began streaming a show about Wrexham following their takeover by Hollywood stars Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney.
