Jonathan Morgan has resumed his duties as manager of Sheffield United’s women’s team after an investigation into his conduct. Morgan stepped away from his job in October after a formal complaint was made against him and the club launched an investigation into his alleged conduct. It is understood the former Leicester and Burnley women manager has been cleared to return to work.
Morgan reconnected with the team last week and is preparing them for their match against Tottenham in the fourth round of the FA Cup on 14 January.
In December, Sheffield United confirmed that an external investigation launched after the death of Sheffield United player Maddy Cusack had found no evidence of wrongdoing at the club. The 27-year-old, who made 110 appearances for them and worked as a marketing executive at the club, died in September. The police said they were not treating her death as suspicious.
“Following a thorough review of the valuable input provided by each of the key witnesses put forward by Maddy’s family and the club, the investigation has found no evidence of wrongdoing,” the club said on their website on 18 December.
“The club is always looking for ways to evolve and will reflect on the outcomes and recommendations arising from the investigation to consider how processes and policies may be improved.”
