'More titles than Spurs' - Specsavers deliver brutal social media dig at Tottenham

The Sidemen came out winners in a charity football game against YouTube Allstars on Saturday. 27,000 spectators were in attendance at Charlton Athletic's stadium, the Valley for the match which ended in a high-scoring 8-7 final result.

A lot of jokes were made on social media surrounding the match, and even Specsavers joined in with the fun to take a dig at Tottenham. The British optical retail chain used Twitter to compare the Sidemen’s success with Spurs.

The company’s official account tweeted: “The Sidemen have more titles than Spurs, #SidemanCharitymatch.”

This was the fourth edition of the charity match, something arranged by a group of popular Youtubers called the Sidemen which includes Miniminter, Zerkaa, TBJZL, Behzinga, Vikkstar123, KSI and WroeToShaw.

The game reached an audience of over 2.5million people at one time as it was streamed on Youtube and fans were not left disappointed either due to the high volume of goals in the match. The Sidemen’s victory on Saturday afternoon means that they have now been victorious on three different occasions since the first match in 2016.

With three wins for The Sidemen this means that Spurs have won less league titles as they have recorded two in their history, with the last being during the 1960/61 season. Despite the tweet aimed to poke Tottenham fans, Specsavers were accurate with their claim.
