More than 700 people were arrested and hundreds of suspected stolen mobile phones recovered during a month-long crackdown on robbery and theft across London, the Metropolitan Police has revealed.
It follows figures published earlier this year, which showed London is Europe’s phone snatch capital with about 80,000 devices stolen annually – one every six minutes.
