More than £50,000 is to be spent fixing dry rot in an iconic Stewartry building.
Members of the council’s economy and resources committee heard about the problem in Castle Douglas clock tower at their meeting on Tuesday.
They agreed to allocate £56,000 to resolve the problem as part of the council’s property/buildings (other) asset class programme.
