Police smash hole in door of house and find more than 200 cannabis plants growing inside

A man has been arrested after more than 200 cannabis plants were found growing in a property in Rhondda Cynon Taf. Officers battered down the front door of the house in Aberaman after tip-offs from local officers and members of the public.

The Misuse of Drugs Act warrant led to the discovery of 220 cannabis plants at various stages of growth. One room contained well established plants while another had pots of seedlings.

The police force confirmed one male had been arrested and the plants had subsequently been seized. The success of the warrant was down to "great work by local officers and members of the public" it added.
