At least 35 people have been killed in four states as Tropical Storm Helene, which made landfall in Florida as a Category 4 hurricane on Thursday, continues to sweep across the southeastern United States. Rescuers are rushing to save people trapped in flooded homes as Helene knocked out power for millions across several states.

Hurricane Helene left an enormous path of destruction across Florida and the entire southeastern U.S. on Friday, killing at least 35 people in four states, snapping trees like twigs, tearing apart homes and sending rescue crews on desperate missions to save people from floodwaters.
