A section of the M8 motorway will be closed for eight nights from this week.
The stretch of motorway prior to junction 4A Heartlands will be shut for eight nights between the hours of 8.30pm and 6am, starting Thursday and finishing by 6am on Tuesday, March 7. No works shall take place on weekends.
The resurfacing works will see Transport Scotland’s operating company, BEAR Scotland resurface 1,500 metres of carriageway, creating safer journeys for motorists, costing £680,000.
Tommy Deans, BEAR Scotland’s South East Network Manager, said: “These surfacing improvements will significantly improve safety for motorists on this section of the M8.
“We’ve planned the works to take place overnight to minimise disruption and will do all we can to complete the project as quickly as possible.”
