The A52 is set to close for 10 hours overnight near Queen's Medical Centre, it has been revealed. Bus company Nottingham City Transport said the busy road will be closed between the Priory Island, in Wollaton, and the hospital.
This section of the road will be closed from 8pm on Tuesday, March 15, until 6am on Wednesday, March 16. Its buses will be diverted as a result of the disruption.
Nottingham City Transport said in a statement: "The A52 - Derby Road will be closed from Priory Island to the QMC between 8pm on March 15 and 6am on March 16. During this time, Orange 35 and 36 will divert towards the City via University Boulevard, Beeston Road and Clifton Boulevard.

"Stops between the Priory and QMC Islands and those on Woodside Road served by the 36 cannot be served. Passengers on Woodside Road heading toward the City should wait on the opposite side of the road and catch the diverted 35."
It will be the second day of traffic disruption in a row after the Clifton Flyover was partially closed overnight on Monday (March 14) allowing for works to repair a damaged signal pole.
Major roadworks also continue elsewhere on the A52 - including at the Gamston roundabout.
