A man accused of a serious offence while posing as a rideshare driver faces extra charges after more women came forward to police.
The 24-year-old man was initially charged last weekend with deprivation of liberty.
Police said a 36-year-old woman left a Toowoomba venue west of Brisbane after 11pm on March 2 and entered what she thought was a rideshare vehicle.
The 24-year-old man allegedly drove the woman to a Newtown address and took her inside before she notified a friend who contacted police.
Police said officers arrived soon afterwards and took the man into custody while the woman was taken to hospital for assessment.
After Toowoomba detectives urged anyone with a similar experience to come forward, two women contacted police.
Police said a 23-year-old woman alleged the man had approached her outside a Toowoomba CBD venue after 1am on February 25 and she entered what she thought was a rideshare vehicle.
The man drove her to a nearby address before the woman exited the vehicle and fled, police said.
A 42-year-old woman also came forward.
She alleged later on in the early hours of February 25 the man approached her on Ruthven Street and offered her a ride home.
"While in the vehicle, the driver allegedly touched the woman inappropriately," a police statement said.
After both alleged incidents were reported to police last weekend, the man has been further charged with two counts of sexual assault and one each of unlawful stalking and common assault.
"These victims have shown immense bravery, to speak up and report to police, which ultimately allows us to track down offenders and prosecute them," Detective Acting Inspector Paula Smithard said.
"We encourage anyone with information to come forward and speak to our officers."
The 24-year-old man has been remanded in custody and is set to appear in Toowoomba Magistrates Court on April 23.
