BATHINDA: The Indian Himalayas have been in shambles from the beginning of the Monsoon season and the flash flooding, landslides killed several people across Himachal Pradesh and Uttrakhand apart from causing huge causing huge economic loss.
The experts opine the latest spell of heavy rainfall was caused due to northward movement of the axis of the Monsoon trough, making weather conditions favourable for heavy to very heavy rains across the Himalayas. According to experts, weather conditions might have been favourable for heavy rains, but climate change has a definite role in the increasing intensity.
