The outbreak of monkeypox in the UK is being categorised as “significant and concerning” by experts as cases climbed by 24.6% since May 7.
14 fresh cases of the virus have been confirmed Scotland and England bringing the total number of cases since May 7 to 71.
The UK Health Security Agency, who play a key role in protecting the British public from infectious diseases and other health threats, has described the outbreak as “significant and concerning”.
