Money Saving Expert's Martin Lewis issues word of warning to anyone on Twitter

Martin Lewis has issued a word of warning to anyone on Twitter.

The Money Saving Expert regularly uses his social media platform to provide essential financial advice amid the UK's cost of living crisis. The consumer champion currently has 2.1m followers on Twitter.

However, he has taken to the platform and said some of his followers have complained they have missed some of his tweets. The 50-year-old suspects the reason could be due to a change to Twitter introduced this year.

He said: "A few people've said they've missed some tweets? My bet is it's as Twitter now defaults "For You" where it shows you the tweets it wants to (not just those you follow) and changes the order."

The social media platform has been subject to a range of changes since it was taken over by Elon Musk. The home page has been replaced with a For You feature which shows tweets based on recommendations of accounts you follow or topics you are interested.

Martin has provided a way for Twitter users to only see tweets from accounts they have chosen to follow so that they will not miss anymore of his valuable tips. He said: "Switch to the "Following" tab for a chronological order of tweets of those you follow."
