It was announced last month that Amazon Prime would be increasing the cost of their monthly and annual subscription service.
The technology giant offers that offers unlimited free delivery, entertainment streaming and live sport through the Prime service said it will increase the price of Prime from £7.99 each month to £8.99 from September 15 for new customers, or on the date of the customer’s next renewal.
Annual membership will increase from £79 to £95 per year in the UK.

A spokeswoman for Amazon said: “Prime offers the best of shopping and entertainment, and continues to improve each year. We have increased the number of products available with fast, unlimited Prime delivery, recently added ultra-fast fresh grocery delivery, and have significantly expanded our high-quality digital entertainment, including TV, movies, music, games, and books.
“With increased inflation and operating costs in the UK continuing to rise, we will change the price of Prime.”
The increase in price comes at a time where people are trying to save money as the cost of living also goes up with the likes of energy and shopping bills among one of many things soaring.
In the video uploaded two weeks ago, Martin Lewis explained all the changes urging people to act before the fees go up. he said: "Amazon Prime is hiking its membership costs. On September 15, the monthly subscription in the UK will go up from £7.99 to £8.99.
"The annual cost will rise from £79 to £95. So if you currently pay monthly and you want to keep it, then the best thing you can do - provided you can afford it - is convert now to the annual package and then you lock in at £79 for the next year for stalling the rise.
"If you are an annual payer, it's more difficult. Though if your subscription is due to renew in the few weeks after September 15, you could cancel just before that and then get a new subscription at £79 - again for stalling that rise just for a little bit."
In a fresh appeal in his weekly newsletter, the Money Saving Expert (MSE) site, which Martin founded, said that it may also be worth signing up for a free trial but if so you will want to do that now.
MASE explained: "Prime gives you several benefits including free one-day delivery on many items, access to TV shows, movies and some Premier League games, music streaming and more. Amazon offers newbies a free one-month trial of the service.
"The beauty is you can sign up, then just cancel the trial before Amazon charges you – forget to cancel and you'll be charged the normal £79 for a year's Prime, or £95 if your first payment is taken from Thursday 15 September. (If you select monthly billing, it's £7.99, or £8.99 from 15 September.)"
