Money not in, Chandigarh plots end of MLA flats

CHANDIGARH: Non-payment of advance money for proposed high-end flats for MLAs and government officials from Punjab, Haryana and PGI has prompted the UT administration to plan converting the scheme into one for general public at IT Park.

UT adviser Dharam Pal said Chandigarh Housing Board (CHB) officials were asked to send a final reminder to Punjab, Haryana and PGI, for depositing the advance within a specific period, otherwise the UT would move ahead with other options, including general housing scheme.
