This is the moment an armed gang member was caught by two undercover officers who were disguised as a street cleaner and a delivery driver.
Footage shared by the Metropolitan Police shows one officer wearing a blue coat on a Deliveroo bike pulling up next to the suspect, while another approaches wearing a high-vis jacket and pushing a wheelie bin.
The officers then pounce, grappling with the unsuspecting suspect and dragging him to the ground.
The officer in high-vis is then seen pressing his knees on the suspect while the other deploys a taser.
One officer tells the suspect he is under arrest and reads him his rights, saying: "You're wanted for GBH, stabbing and failing to appear for court for assaulting police.
“You're also under arrest for a breach of a court order and possession of an offensive weapon.”
Another suspect was also arrested at the scene.
Sharing a video of the incident on social media, the Met said: "A wanted gang member's luck finally ran out when officers dressed as a delivery rider and a bin man moved in to arrest him.
"During a search of the suspect, officers found a machete concealed in his waistband as well as class A drugs.
"Proof that you never know who is watching..."
Many took to the comment section on the video to praise the officers undercover work.
One wrote: “Well done to all the officers who put their own safety at risk”, with another adding: “Smashed it!! Quick, decisive and efficient”.
The location of the arrest was not revealed.
