This is the horrifying moment a teen killer stabs a 14-year-old boy to death with a massive sword before fleeing the scene.
Today, Marques Walker was jailed for life with a minimum of 19 years after he confessed to murdering defenceless Jermaine Cools.
Aged just 16 at the time, Walker stabbed the "happy and smiling" boy after a fight broke out near West Croydon railway station, in south London, on November 18, 2021.
As Walker was sentenced today, the Met Police released a shocking video which captures the moment he lunges for the younger teen and stabs him.
Jermaine is bundled to the ground as Walker produces a massive knife from his coat, and steps towards him.
Then, with the younger boy on the ground, he can be seen stabbing down towards him in the sickening video.
Cops were called to the scene around 6.41pm on the day, to reports of a fight, but couldn't find any witnesses or suspects at the scene.
But around half an hour later, officers got a call from a nearby hospital where a teenager had walked in with stab wounds.
Jermaine sadly died in hospital, after getting a lift there from a member of the public.
Meanwhile, whilst police hunted for the suspect, Walker left his home and spent six weeks on the run, but then on December 27, 2021, he was discovered hiding behind a bed.
At first he gave a false name before telling officers his real name on the way to the station.
Later, he pleaded guilty to murder, having previously admitted possessing a knife in Croydon on the same date before being sentenced by Judge Sarah Munro KC today.
Judge Sarah Munro KC said: "Jermaine Cools was only 14 when you killed him. He was the youngest victim of London knife crime in 2021 ... nothing seems to deter the likes of you from going into the streets, armed with weapons.
"In the words of your own counsel, this was an appalling act of senseless violence.
"The impact of Jermaine's violent and needless death is immeasurable."
The judge added he and his group were clearly "geared up" for violence.
Walker stabbed Jermaine "mercilessly" seven times and "intended to kill" his victim, the judge said.
Jermaine's father described his lost youngest son as "everything to us ... a humble child with a lot of dreams. Now we are nothing, wanting to die, to be with Jermaine".
Speaking previously, Detective Chief Inspector Richard Vandenbergh from Specialist Crime who led the probe into the killing said: “Jermaine’s family have been left devastated by his murder.”
Police added that an autopsy confirmed he died from multiple stab wounds.
Lorraine Dudek, Jermaine's mum, previously told MyLondon: "For a 14-year-old he was like the head of our family. He was so grown up. He was always happy and always smiling, just your average 14-year-old."
The crime marked the 27th fatal stabbing in the capital of that year - the worst since 2017 - with Jermaine the youngest to be killed.
Jermaine's family previously visited the place where he was stabbed to lay flowers, and the teen's loved ones could be seen crying and hugging one another as they left tributes.
During the initial stages of the trial, a reporting restriction order prevented Walker being named.
