A Ryanair pilot was filmed performing an incredible side-ways landing in very strong winds.
The footage shows the plane from the Irish airline approaching the tarmac at Madeira Airport in Portugal, which is often disrupted by strong swirling winds that come off the Atlantic and are whipped up by nearby cliffs..
In the remarkable clip, the jet comes over the sea and banks around to the right over the land, tilting its wings down as the pilot lines the plane up with the runway.
