Molly McKenna has rounded off the year in style by becoming the Double Mini Trampoline (DMT) world champion.
The Randalstown teenager, who had already won the Northern Ireland, British and European title in a very successful 2022, wowed the judges at the 29th FIG Trampoline Gymnastics World Age Championships, in Sofia, Bulgaria.
After coming first in the qualifying rounds, Molly’s performance earned her a huge score of 26.000 in the final.

That secured her Gold in the 15-16 DMT with Molly becoming the first female Northern Ireland gymnast to win all four titles in her discipline and age category.
The St. Benedict’s College pupil is a member of Antrim Phoenix DMT & Trampoline Club, and is part of the Team GB squad, currently as a junior, but will move to senior level in the new year.
“I would like to thank everyone who has supported and helped me to get where I am, particularly my mum and dad, who were here with me and to everyone at home,” said Molly.
“The World Championships were a lot of fun, a fantastic experience and hopefully I can keep it going when I move to seniors.”
