Molly-Mae Hague has revealed that she and boyfriend Tommy Fury broke a major rule during their time on Love Island back in 2019.
The lovebirds met on the fifth series of the ITV2 dating show over three years ago, and the smitten pair are still together now and stronger than ever- with the pair buying their first home together earlier this year.
Proving that they were the perfect pairing, Molly-Mae and Tommy went on to make the final - but they ultimately lost out to winners Amber Gill and Greg O'Shea, who went on to break up just weeks after bagging the £50,000.
And looking back on her time on the show, Molly-Mae recently revealed that she and Tommy broke a major rule while they were shacked up in the famous villa together.
As viewers will be well aware, Love Island bosses often keep the contestants in the dark from the outside world - and it has strict rules to ensure the Islanders are have no idea what the public think of them.
However, in her debut book, Becoming Molly-Mae', former islander Molly revealed that the strict rules didn’t stop her and Tommy from finding out the public’s opinion of them before they left the villa.
“Before the live final ceremony itself, Tommy and I were watching TV – we weren’t meant to, but the crew had forgotten to take the remote out of our bedroom," she penned.
Molly went on to reveal that she and her beau turned on a well-known breakfast TV show where they were coincidently talking about Love Island - and from there, they discovered that the public were besotted with them.
In the villa, all the islanders felt as though Tommy and Molly had already won the £50k cash prize because they were the only official couple left.
However, after laying eyes on the breakfast show, the PLT Creative Director discovered that she had stiff competition in Amber and Greg and the public thought she that Molly was 'fake'.
“The message was: everyone hates Molly, she cries crocodile tears, she’s fake, she doesn’t like Tommy, she’s only there for the money,” Molly penned.
“It was really, really, really savage. Tommy and I just sat there watching TV, feeling like….Oh.”
Molly was left terrified to go on her phone amid fears of endless trolling after watching the breakfast show.
The former reality TV star also admitted that she broke another major rule when her sister Zoe visited her in the villa in the final week.
Molly confessed that Zoe sneakily wrote 2.2, which indicated that she had gained a total of 2.2 million followers on Instagram.
