Molly-Mae Hague has stunned fans by posing in a striking dress she bought on the beach during her current business trip to Mexico.
The 22-year-old reality star is currently in the Mexican town of Tulum where she is shooting an advertising campaign for a fashion company.
The former Love Island star admitted to fans she was anxious about sharing content from her trip abroad in light of the current crisis in Ukraine – where Russian forces have invaded the country in an attempt to take over.
After agonising over whether or not to share photos and videos from her trip, Molly-Mae threw the decision over to her followers saying she would respectfully stay silent if they felt it would be in bad taste to share photos of sunsets and swimsuits from luxury accommodation while Ukrainians are fighting for their lives and their freedom.
After her followers overwhelmingly approved of her sharing highlights from her trip – with many declaring it would be a welcome distraction from troubling headlines – she went on to share photos.
On Monday, the star shared a snap of herself wearing a striking dress seemingly made from carefully woven strings – which she paired with a nude-coloured bikini bottom.
With her hands running through her hair, Molly-Mae posed for a couple of photos which she dutifully shared on her Instagram Stories and her main feed.
Posting online, she captioned the moment: “Outfit details: bought from a lovely lady on the beach.”
The snaps were a hit with followers who rushed to ‘like’ the image and left a mountain of glowing comments as the former Love Island star was branded “Stunning”, “Pretty” and a “Goddess”.
One follower was also desperate to know if they could get a matching dress, writing in the comments: “Does the lady on the beach have etsy.”
Others, however, took aim at Molly-Mae, accusing her of ignoring the current crisis which threatens to plunge the world into nuclear war.
One Instagram user hit out, writing: “Molly Mae probably has ZERO clue whats happening in Ukraine! Her world revolves around Molly Mae.”
Another bitterly commented: “Alot of countries who are facing war..silently suffering...but no leaders or influencers are talking about them.”
But Molly-Mae’s fans were quick to defend her, with one responding to the comments to write: "her stories have links to charities, articles, posts etc about the issue. Also has messages from people thanking her for abit of normality when the world is so scary right now.”
The reality star has been drawing attention to Russia ’s invasion of Ukraine and encouraging followers to take action to help those suffering from the war by donating to charities and Ukrainian businesses.
She also drew attention to a current petition which is designed to pressure the UK government to do more to allow refugees from Ukraine quick and easy access to safety on British shores.
She shared a link to the Change.org petition, writing: “Takes 1 min to sign the petition”.
