Molly-Mae Hague has been secretly battling an ‘intense’ illness after her Mexico trip.
The former Love Island star, who finished as runner-up with boyfriend Tommy Fury on the 2019 series of the ITV2 dating show, updated her Instagram followers on her health.
In a video, the 22-year-old posted the video as she shared the “exciting news” her Beauty Works Vault box was back in stock, and she explained her brief absence from social media.
“Hey guys how are we all doing? I feel like I've not come on here for so long,” Molly began.
“Obviously I've been away for work and I ended up extending my trip,” she said.
“It feels so nice to be home, but I have been recovering from.. I think it was just a bug. It was really intense,” Molly explained.
The model spent more than a week in Mexico after extending her trip to the country, as she stayed in the £500-a-night Casa Malca resort in Tulum.
“I'm definitely on the road to recovery now. I'm feeling a little better today,” Molly shared.
The star had jetted off on a luxury trip with friend Stephanie Lam to shoot a new campaign for her fake tan brand, Filter By Molly-Mae.
The star was spotted during her work trip posing wearing more than £92,000 worth of jewellery on one arm, despite vowing not to share her expensive possessions on social media following her terrifying robbery in October last year.
Posing for a photo as she relaxed by the pool, Molly wore two diamond Cartier Love bracelets - worth £37,500 and £40,000 - a £10,500 Juste Un Clou 18k bracelet and a Van Cleef piece with £3,850, according to The Sun.
Molly and boyfriend Tommy were targeted by thieves who stole more than £800,000 of belongings from their home in Cheshire.
At the beginning of her work trip to Mexico, the model said she “felt guilty” about posting glamorous snaps while Ukrainians were fleeing their country after Russian forces invaded.
“Given everything that's happening in the world right now I feel it's impossible to carry on with life as normal without feeling guilty,” she explained.
“I'm currently away for work shooting a campaign but haven't known whether to share as usual for the people that come on Instagram to escape,” Molly added.
She was seemingly given the go-ahead by her fans and followers, as she’s regularly shared snaps from her swanky trip, calling Tulum “magical”.
