Molly-Mae Hague says she had to 'plead' with her family over Christmas as she's defended by fans over baby's wardrobe

Molly-Mae Hague has revealed that she had to 'plead' with her family to let her host Christmas this year, which will be her last before becoming a mum. The former Love Island star is currently expecting her first child with boyfriend Tommy Fury.

The pair, who met and fell in love on the ITV2 dating show back in 2019, announced back in September that she and boyfriend Tommy Fury were expecting their first child together. Then in October, the social media influencer and boxer shared the news that they're having a girl.

Since announcing the exciting news, Molly-Mae has been keeping her followers updated on her pregnancy journey but earlier this week, the mum-to-be swapped her focus to Christmas after describing herself as the "CEO of not being organised for Christmas."

The 23-year-old shared a picture of herself from her car with her blonde locks standing out as they flowed down past her shoulders in soft waves. "Last few errands before we host our first Christmas… this should be fun," she captioned the post.

And Molly-Mae has been busy as she's already set her Christmas table ready for her guests. The Pretty Little Thing creative director took to Instagram to share a few snaps of the dining table, showing neautral plates topped with a grey napkin that had been tied with a knotted band and a decorative branch.

And it is then she admitted that she had to beg her family to let her host at their new house. "This year I pleaded with my family to let me host Christmas at our new house," she confessed in the caption alongside the images posted to her 'Molly Maison' home Instagram account.

"The pleading was because I’m not the most organised person (they don’t have much faith [laughing face emoi]) however here is the table all set and ready to go!" But her older sister Zoe was quick to reply, telling her: "You’re proving us all wrong so far!! Can’t wait."

It comes after Molly-Mae gave her followers a look inside her unborn daughter's wardrobe ahead of her arrival. It showed little pink dresses and neutral-toned jackets hanging in the white built-in wardrobe. She also pulled out drawers to show countless babygrows while plush toys could be seen dotted around the shelves.

"You have my heartbeat," Molly-Mae penned alongside the video with a white heart. But it appears some people weren't being too kind in the comments as her fans jumped in to defend her. @ashleyjadedavies said: "All the negative comments !! If you had the money then wouldn’t your child’s wardrobe look like this as well ???" @danielllegeorgia wrote: "Some of these comments do not pass the vibe check. Your jealousy is showing."

@nadoosh.xo posted: " Absolutely stunning- so happy for youuuu! Also some of this comments. Please don't say anything if you have nothing nice to say. We get it - being first-time moms; it's an exciting time, and I definitely overshopped out of sheer excitement, which is perfectly fine! Leave your backhanded compliments to yourself and stop telling first-time mothers what they'll regret, especially when they didn’t ask. It's completely unnecessary!"

@natalie_oxley95 added: "And also people saying ‘won’t stay like that for long’ maybe it won’t but does that mean she should have everything unorganised for when baby comes? No I think not… This is what’s wrong with the world there’s just to many people who are too willing to bat people down when it’s so uncalled for unfortunately."
